As mentioned earlier, your generation is the most ethnically/racially diverse generation in US history.

There are people trying to twist this and control your votes by pitting marginalized communities against each other:
minority
against
minority

For example, in 2022’s midterm election these mailers were sent to Asian America voters in North Carolina:

At first glance they seem like your average political mailer criticizing a candidate’s record, but take a closer look and notice parts like this...

Their intention? To not-so-subtly target Asian American voters in North Carolina with rhetoric to drive a wedge between them and other racial communities of color. To manipulate them to vote in specific ways.

“This mail piece is evidence that bad actors fear our growing political power.”

Chavi Khanna Koneru
Executive Director
North Carolina Asian Americans Together

And this wasn’t an isolated act! Leading up to 2022’s Midterms, similar mailers using racist and inflammatory messaging were circulated in...

There are people constantly trying to manipulate minority groups to target each other. Constantly trying to flame anger that one marginalized community feels more disadvantaged than another.

“Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It’s not pie.”

Jesse Williams
Activist / Actor

Want to minimize these racist suppression tactics’ impact? Elect better leaders. Want to address racism in the US? Increase BIPOC representation in public office.

So let’s vote for candidates that think our country’s growing diversity is a strength, not a problem!

YES, LET’S
DO IT!

I’M STILL UNDECIDED
