Youth eligible to vote for the first time say the most common reasons why they don’t is because of lack of time and an overly complicated process.
Which is totally understandable given that for many of you, it’s your hectic final year of high school, your first overwhelming semester of college, or you’re entering the work force full time!
No matter what your situation, it’s a busy time filled with emotions and thoughts, and “I gotta make sure I vote” is probably not at the top.
And the fact that our Election day is always on a Tuesday instead of a more convenient day like on the weekend doesn’t make voting any easier in our country.
